Abstract
The innumerable ecosystem services and potential uses of the resources that make up wetlands are known, currently constituting one of the fragile ecosystems, due to the fact that they are frequently affected by negative anthropic activities such as contamination with heavy metals and fecal coliforms. The objective of the research was to carry out the floristic inventory of the coastal wetlands of the province of Trujillo, La Libertad, Peru. For this, eight botanical explorations were carried out between 2018 and 2019; A stratified systematic sampling was carried out, the sample being made up of six wetlands in Huanchaco and Salaverry. The wetlands presented 80 species of flora, distributed in 60 genera and 26 families, being the most representative for their number of species Poaceae (16 species), Asteraceae (12 species), Fabaceae and Cyperaceae (7 species) and Amaranthaceae (5 species). Most of the species have economic, medicinal and phytoremedial.
